Get Your Cholesterol and Diabetes Screening     (Posted 2/7/06)

In celebration of National Heart month, Genesis will offer reduced-cost comprehensive metabolic profile and lipid profile screenings on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2006, from 6-9 a.m. at these locations: 

• Genesis Heart Institute, 1236 E. Rusholme St., Davenport (testing by Metropolitan Medical Laboratory)
  
• Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Larson Center, 855 Illini Drive, Silvis (testing by the Illini Campus Laboratory) 
  
• Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt, 1118 11th St., DeWitt (testing by DeWitt Campus Laboratory)  

The test is $20 (check or cash).  For most accurate results, do not eat 12 hours prior to the blood test.  It's OK to take water and medication.  The test measures kidney, liver, and blood sugar functions, plus total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, and LDL.
